"This is also elegant but more restrained with a nose that is almost as complex though distinctly different as here the aromas run more toward the red side of the fruit spectrum while being liberally laced with stone, violets and spice hints, a few of which are also displayed by the textured, precise and palate staining flavors where the minerality is even more pronounced, all wrapped in a sappy, long and driving finish."

It has a lovely, open, generous bouquet with red currant and blackberry leaf that is nicely focused, offering bacon fat scents with continued aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins. There is just a little hardness toward the finish and perhaps it does not quite possess the persistency of a premier cru, but it contains impressive mineralite and tension.
